UK FILM FESTIVAL
SCRIPT COMPETITION
UKFF are well known for successfully connecting scriptwriters to the film industry and getting the films made.
With 6 of their winners’ scripts made into films (1 of which won an award at Sundance and 2 that went on to win Crystal Bears at the Berlin Film Festival as well as 4 others that have subsequently gone on to be multi-award winning at film festivals around the world including Aesthetica, Bilbao, Galway and Underwire.)
The films have been Official Selection in 41 other festivals and several have gained prestigious distribution deals. There are 2 currently in preproduction and a further 4 have been optioned. Their record speaks for itself.
We’re happy to report that the latest Short Script winner made through our competition, "The Attendant" by Stravros Pambalis has now been produced by Centerframe. Another of our finalists "Home Care" by Sam Windle has been made and "Three Guys Walk into an Elevator" by Jonathan Boguslavski is in postproduction.
"Like I Said" by Jolyon White was produced by 10 Days and our previous season's 10 minute Screenplay winner, "The Choosing" by Emerson Adams will premiere in July.
Most importantly, the winning 10 Minute Scripts and Feature Scripts will be continued to be circulated to established Production Companies and Financiers.
