Breaking into the film industry is challenging, and storytellers need all the support and recognition they can get. CenterFrame Selects offers filmmakers the endorsement of a respected industry professional, helping their work reach key decision-makers.
How does it work?
Producer MAGGIE CHIEFFO will handpick
FIVE STAND-OUT SHORT FILMS
from all submissions.
The chosen shorts will be revealed in a LIVE stream where she will discuss her selection.

ABOUT THE GUEST CURATOR






Maggie Chieffo is a producer–director bridging prestige film and social impact. She focuses on human-first narratives to translate complex issues into action.
Known as “The Velvet Hammer,” she served as Production Executive at Michael Mann’s Forward Pass, most recently as a Producer on Ferrari, with earlier credits on Blackhat, Witness, Luck and Public Enemies.

Previously she line-produced the social impact documentary feature Be Prepared to Stop, produced and directed Camp GoldieBlox: Adventures at Eureka Point, and created a social-emotional learning video curriculum for Mattel’s Barbie Dream Gap project.
As EP/Head of Production & Development for Amy Poehler’s Smart Girls (Legendary), she delivered award-winning content translating advocacy and policy work into engaging storytelling driving meaningful action and measurable change earning Common Sense Media’s Digital Media Leadership Award and the Anne Frank Center’s SAFA Youth Empowerment Award. Social Impact areas: Female Empowerment, Computer Science for All, Equity in Education, Climate Change, and Health. Featured partnerships include the Obama Administration, UN Women, Verizon Innovation Learning Lab, NASA, Lenovo, Disney, Warner Bros, Focus Features, and Google.


As a consultant she advises clients and production companies on social impact storytelling, digital engagement, and distribution strategy. Clients include the WHO Foundation, Futures Without Violence, The Courage Museum, Vital Voices, Shift7, Girl Scouts, and the Center for Scholars & Storytellers.
She is currently directing and producing the documentary Feature Storyectomy: End Blood Cancer with The Crow and Blood Cancer United.

Yes, multiple submissions are allowed, and yes you can submit the same film or script to different filmmakers at the same time.
